I write with a heart full of gratitude for a truly blessed 2024. This past year has been a journey of spiritual growth, and I am delighted to share the many ways in which God has worked among us. Through prayer, Sacraments, and dedicated acts of service, we have witnessed a renewed spirit of faith that has touched every corner of our parish family.

For the last two years, our pastoral planning has been structured by the five dimensions of our Action Plan: Celebrating, Witnessing, Learning, Serving and Reaching Out. The longer that we work with these dimensions, the more we realise that many of our efforts fit under several categories at the same time. Perhaps that speaks to the provident way that God blesses our efforts. When we celebrate our faith, we witness to it; when we serve, we reach out; when we learn, we grow.

The pages of this magazine give testament to the passion of our parishioners to see our community grow in faith, joy and number. I think St Paul’s words serve as a confirmation that we’re on the right path, and an encouragement to keep going:

“Therefore, my beloved, be firm, steadfast, always fully devoted to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labour is not in vain.” (1 Cor 15:58)
