Mount Gambier Catholic Parish is a Safe Environment for All parish. We provide children, families and individuals with a safe, welcoming, nurturing, child-friendly environment which is free from risk of harm and abuse.
We ensure the active presence of children and meeting of children’s rights: children’s views are respected and listened to, and they are engaged about issues that affect them.
We embrace a Safe Environment for All approach which has clear policies and procedures for the protection of children, including protocols for reporting and responding to abuse.
As part of our efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of those we serve, all clergy, staff and volunteers are required to complete the mandatory screening - Working with Children Clearance. Training and induction are offered throughout the year for new volunteers.
Please contact the Parish Office for further information if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the safety of children or vulnerable adults in our parish, please contact Cisca Teodoro, Safeguarding Contact Person on sacraments@mtgcatholic.org.au or at the Parish Office.
